Chief Ministers of Chhattisgarh
Chhattisgarh state, formed in 2000, has had four Chief Ministers since its formation. The Governor of Chhattisgarh appoints the Chief Minister based on the majority party in the state assembly. Chhattisgarh became a state on November 1st, 2000, separated from Madhya Pradesh by the Reorganization Act. Ajit Jogi, representing the Indian National Congress, served as its first Chief Minister.

Vishnu Deo Sai is the current Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh. He assumed office on December 12, 2023, and belongs to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He is the fourth Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh since its formation in 2000. Previously, Bhupesh Baghel from the Indian National Congress (INC) held the Chief Minister position from December 17, 2018, until December 12, 2023.

Brief About Chief Ministers of Chhattisgarh
Ajit Jogi
Ajit Jogi, a member of the Indian National Congress and elected from the Marwahi constituency, served as the first Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh for a brief term of 3 years and 34 days, from November 1, 2000, to November 7, 2003.
Raman Singh
Raman Singh, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and elected from the Rajnandgaon constituency, served as the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh for a historic 15 years and 10 days, from December 7, 2003, to December 17, 2018.
Bhupesh Baghel
Bhupesh Bhagel, the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, represents the Patan constituency and was elected by the Indian National Congress in the 2018 assembly elections. He assumed office from December 17, 2018, to Dec 12, 2023, and has served for 5 years.
Vishnu Deo Sai
Vishnu Deo Sai is a prominent politician with experience in both state and national politics. New Deputy CM of Chhattisgarh 2023
Chhattisgarh currently has two Deputy Chief Ministers:
- Arun Sao: Elected MLA from Baloda Bazar constituency and a prominent tribal leader in the BJP.
- Vijay Sharma: Elected MLA from Kawardha constituency and known for his active work addressing public concerns in his constituency.
Both Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma has been appointed as Deputy Chief Ministers on December 12, 2023, alongside Vishnu Deo Sai’s swearing-in as the new Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh.
