TSPSC Group 4 syllabus consisting of General Knowledge, Secretarial Abilities, and Computer Proficiency Test (CPT). TSPSC Group 4 Exam has two stages, Stage I with two papers, Paper 1 General Knowledge and Paper 2 Secretarial Abilities and Stage II Computer Proficiency Test. TSPSC Group 4 Exam Pattern 2024

TSPSC Group 4 Exam has two stages.

  • Stage I: Written Test with two papers Paper I & Paper II
  • Stage II: Computer Proficiency Test (Practical Type)

Stage I Written Exam

  • Paper – I will consist of 150 multiple choice questions from General Knowledge each question consists of 1 mark, and Paper 1 is of 150 marks. The total time duration will be 150 minutes.
  • Paper II will consist of 150 multiple choice questions from Secretarial Abilities every question is worth 1 mark, and Paper 2 in total has 150 marks, with a time duration of 150 minutes.
  • In both papers, multiple-choice questions shall be in English, Telugu & Urdu. The examination will be conducted both offline and online medium.

Stage II Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)

This stage consists of a Computer Proficiency Test which is qualifying in nature and is divided into 4 parts for 50 marks with a time duration is 30 minutes.

The TSPSC Group 4 Syllabus for Paper 2 is built around evaluating applicants’ secretarial skills. The following is a list of the subjects that must be covered for TSPSC Group 4 paper 2:

General Knowledge

It includes the following – Current affairs, Telangana State policies, Telangana literature, arts, heritage, culture, and society, Telangana movement and history, history of modern Indian struggle and movements, Indian polity and Indian constitution & its salient features, Telangana economy & geography as well as of India, issues with the environment and ecology, disasters and their management in India, science in everyday life, and international relations are will be asked in this section.

Secretarial Abilities

It includes Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, arithmetical abilities, English comprehension, and Sentence re-arrangement.

Computer Proficiency Test

There will be also a test in ‘Proficiency in Office Automation with the usage of computers and associated software’ for 30 minutes. Maximum marks will be 50. This test will have 4 questions.

  • The first question or Part A will have a question to be answered in MS Word. The applicants need to type a letter/paragraph/passage of about 150 words in MS Word. It will be 20 marks.
  • In question 2 or part B, a candidate will have to prepare a table or graph in MS Excel. It will be 15 marks.
  • In question 3 or part C, a candidate will have to prepare PowerPoint Presentations/Slides (Two) on MS PowerPoint. It will be 10 marks.
  • In question 4 or part D, a candidate will have to display the content of the E-mail (inbox).

The qualifying marks in the computer proficiency test (CPT) for SC/ST/PH candidates will be 15 marks in total, for BCs 17.5 and for OCs 20 marks.
