UKPSC Mains Exam Date 2024 Postponed, Check Official PDF

The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) has recently issued an important update regarding the Uttarakhand Combined State Civil/Upper Subordinate Services Main Examination (Written) for the year 2024. This notice comes as a response to a directive from the Hon’ble High Court of Uttarakhand, Nainital, which necessitated the postponement of the examination.

In this article, we will cover everything you need to know about the postponement, the reason behind it, and the next steps for candidates preparing for this highly competitive examination.

UKPSC Mains Exam Date 2024 Postponed

The UKPSC had originally scheduled the Combined State Civil/Upper Subordinate Services Main Examination to take place from November 16, 2024 (Saturday), to November 19, 2024 (Tuesday). The exams were to be conducted at various centers in Haridwar and Haldwani, two major locations for competitive examinations in the state.

However, in compliance with the Hon’ble High Court’s directive, the examination has now been postponed until further notice. The decision was made in light of the legal proceedings associated with Writ Petition No. 704 (S/B) of 2024, filed by Himanshu Tomar against the State of Uttarakhand and Others. The court’s judgment, dated November 14, 2024, required the postponement as per Notification No. A-2/E-1/PCS/2023-24, issued earlier in March 2024.
