UPSC IES/ISS Eligibility Criteria 2023

The age limit for applicants submitting applications for the UPSC IES/ISS examination is 21 to 30 years old. However, if the applicant successfully completes the written exam but does not genuinely meet the requirements, he may be disqualified from the interview stage.

UPSC IES/ISS Age Limit

The main factor that the higher authorities will consider is age. As of August 1st, 2022, the applicant for the UPSC IES/ISS 2022 examination must be at least 21 years old and not older than 30. The applicants for the exam must have been born no later than 1 August 2001 and no earlier than 2 August 1992. The relaxation of age of the candidates is mentioned below:

UPSC IES/ISS Educational Qualification

The Postgraduate Degree in Economics, Applied Economics, Business Economics, or Econometrics is a requirement for candidates. A Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, or Applied Statistics, or a Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, or Applied Statistics, is required of applicants for the Indian Statistical Service.   • The candidate must have minimum Bachelors/Masters degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from the university which is recognized by the government
  • The candidates who have attempted for the final examination and are waiting for the result also can apply.
  • A candidate who has minimum qualifications but taken the degree from the foreign university can also apply.

Note: During the document verification process, EWS applicants for the IES/ISS exam 2023 will need to present an Income and Asset Certificate.
