CDS Cut Off
The minimum score needed to qualify for any exam is known as the cut-off. This article provides the previous year’s cut-offs for the prestigious Combined Defence Services Examination for the several branches of the esteemed Indian Defence Forces, namely the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA), and Officers’ Training Academy (OTA).
The Combined Defence Services (CDS) exam is conducted twice a year, generally in the month of April and September. UPSC will release the CDS 1 Notification 2023 on 21st December 2022, which contains all the essential information about the CDS 1 2023 exam.

CDS Cut-Off 2022 Written Exam
The CDS Exam’s written exam is its first phase. To qualify for the next step, which includes the SSB and the CDS exam, candidates must get the cutoff marks or higher on the exam. In each of the three papers, 20% is the required minimum score for the CDS exam in 2022. The written exam for CDS 2022 consists of three papers while candidates for OTA only need to take two papers.

CDS Cut Off 2022 Final Merit List
On the basis of performance in the Written exam, SSB Interview, and Medical examination, the merit list for CDS 2022 will be made available. Candidates who qualify for the CDS written exam in 2022 will be called for an SSB interview and a medical exam. After passing each of these stages, candidates will be selected for the vacant posts that UPSC announced for the Combines Defence Services exam.

Ans. Cut-Off of CDS 1 2022:

Q. What is the cutoff for CDS?
Ans. The cutoff for CDS is different for different academies that are decided based on several factors like the number of vacancies, the no. of candidates who appeared in the examination etc.
Q. What will be the cut-off CDS 2 2022?
Ans. The final CDS 2022 cutoff is expected to lie between 245 and 255 for IMA, between 268 and 270 for AFA, and between 233 and 245 for INA.
Q. How CDS marks are calculated?
Ans. 0.83 marks will be given for each right answer in the English and General Knowledge categories. Moreover, math will get one mark. 0.33 marks, or one-third of the mark, will be subtracted for each wrong response. Questions that are not attempted will not receive any marks.
Q. Is 60% necessary for CDS?
Ans. For the CDS exam, there is no fixed percentage, you just need to be a graduate for attempting the CDS examinations.
