What is a National Park?
A National Park is a protected area, which is established by the government, according to the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. The main purpose for which National Parks are established is to conserve the diversity of wildlife, plants, and natural resources. The activities performed by humans, such as hunting, poaching, and use of resources for commercial purposes, are not allowed in National Parks.

How Many National Parks Does India Have?
Today, there are 107 national parks found in different states as well as 8 union territories across India.
