National Ayurveda Day 2023
National Ayurveda Day 2023 will be celebrated internationally in about 100 countries on November 10, 2023. The Ministry of Ayush will organize the event globally with the support of all the ministries of the country. The Ministry of Ayush held a meeting of various ministries to ensure the successful organization of National Ayurveda Day. Presiding over the meeting, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha said that National Ayurveda Day should be organized as a national program with the cooperation and support of all the ministries of the country, as per the vision of our Prime Minister.
National Ayurveda Day is Celebrated on Which Date?
National Ayurveda Day is celebrated in India on the Dhanvantari Jayanti, which falls on the Dhanteras day of the Hindu calendar. The theme of the 8th National Ayurveda Day 2023 celebration is “Ayurveda for One Health” with the tagline “Ayurveda for everyone on every day’. The Ministry of Ayush aims to explore the potential of Ayurveda in promoting the well-being of not only humans, but also the environment, plants, and animals. Therefore, the theme chosen for the 8th Ayurveda Day is “Ayurveda for One Health.”
The theme of “Ayurveda for One Health” aligns with India’s G20 Presidency theme of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”, which means “The World is One Family”. The tagline for Ayurveda Day 2023 is “Ayurveda for everyone on every day” (Har din har kisi ke liye Ayurveda), which emphasizes the importance of Ayurveda for the well-being of all living beings and the environment.

National Ayurveda Day History

The Ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy) chose Dhanwantari Jayanti to celebrate Ayurveda Day as this day marks the birth anniversary of the god of Ayurveda.
