UP Higher Judicial Service 2023 Selection Process
The selection process for Allahabad High Court Uttar Pradesh Higher Judicial Service (UP HJS) consists of two stages: a written exam and a personal interview round. Below is an overview of each stage:
Written Exam:
- Paper Type: Objective
- Marks: 800
The written exam is an objective type paper with a total of 800 marks. The syllabus for the written exam is crucial for preparation, and candidates are advised to thoroughly understand the topics covered in each section. It would typically include subjects relevant to law, procedure codes, evidence, drafting, pleading, and other legal aspects.
Interview (Personal Interview Round):
- Marks: 200
After successfully clearing the written exam, candidates proceed to the interview stage. The personal interview round carries a weightage of 200 marks. During the interview, candidates are evaluated on various aspects such as their knowledge of law, communication skills, understanding of legal concepts, and overall suitability for the higher judicial service.
Candidates need to focus on both stages of the selection process. While the written exam tests the candidate’s theoretical knowledge of law, the interview round assesses their practical understanding, communication skills, and overall personality.
