Q) “Beneath the manifold diversity in India there is an underlying uniformity. In the light of the statement, discuss the various factors contributing to unity amidst cultural diversity in India. (15 marks, 250 words)

भारत में कई गुना विविधता के नीचे अंतर्निहित एकरूपता है। कथन के आलोक में, भारत में सांस्कृतिक विविधता के बीच एकता में योगदान देने वाले विभिन्न कारकों पर चर्चा करें।“

Demand of the Question– The question demands understanding of unity in diversity of India

Directive Word- Discuss- This keyword demands mentioning the details of features of unity of diversity, its strength and challenges in India.

Structure of the Answer

Intro– Define what is diversity, unity and then unity in diversity.

Body– Mention the features of the diversity and unity, separately. Give examples. Link them with to explain how unity contribute to cultural diversity. In second part, mention about its importance in India as democracy and challenges it faces. Give examples along with provisions and articles of the Constitution of India.

Conclusion- Conclude by suggesting measures to protect and enhance this unity in diversity for the better of the nation.

Q) “Patriarchy in India not only influences the condition of women in the county but has also conditioned them. Elucidate with examples (10 Marks, 150 words) 

भारत में पितृसत्ता न केवल देश में महिलाओं की स्थिति को प्रभावित करती है बल्कि उन्हें (महिलाओं को) अनुकूलित भी करती है। इसे उदाहरण सहित स्पष्ट कीजिए।“

Demand of the Question-The question demands understanding of patriarchy and its impact on society especially India.

Directive Word-Elucidate- This keyword requires elaborating the reasons along with examples.

Structure of the Answer

Intro– Define patriarchy with help of standard definition.

Body– In the first part, mention reasons how patriarchy influences the condition of women- this major includes changes in the external environment of women. Write examples for each reason. For the second part, mention reasons how patriarchy conditions them which majorly includes how internally a woman is changed. In a short section mention the challenges and the solutions and provisions made for woman empowerment.  Mention some schemes and their objectives with respect to both the aspects.

Conclusion- Conclude by stating what initiatives are taken up to uplift women in both the aspects. Mention GoI schemes.

Q) What are the constraints in India for the participation of women in politics? How will these constraints be overcome by the recently Introduced (One Hundred and Twenty-Eighth Amendment) Bill, 2023?(10 mark, 150 word)

भारत में राजनीति में महिलाओं की भागीदारी के लिए क्या बाधाएँ हैं? हाल ही में पेश किए गए (एक सौ अट्ठाईसवें संशोधन) विधेयक, 2023 से इन बाधाओं को कैसे दूर किया जाएगा?

Demand of the Question-The question demands understanding of women’s participation in India’s politics and role of women in society. And understanding of the issue of reservation of women in Parliament.

Directive Word- What- It demands mentioning of points. How- demands reasons for the same issue.

Structure of the Answer

Intro– Start by mentioning data about participation of women in politics. It can be no. of female MP’s in Parliament etc. Compare it with no. of male MP’s. And link it with the constraints.

Body– In the first part, mention what are the constraints, cover various aspects from health & maternity, education, society, patriarchal setup, etc. In the second part, mention how the 128th Amendment Bill will try and solve the above constraints and will improve women’s participation. In the last part, mention what are the shortcomings of the impact of this Bill.

Conclusion– Appreciate the effort taken to uplift woman by Introducing this Bill, along with it, suggest other measures through which same results can be achieved.
