Government’s Commemoration Initiatives 

Year 2022

A hologram statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was unveiled at India Gate, symbolizing a modern and innovative approach to honouring the freedom fighter.

Year 2023

The government took two significant steps:

• Renaming the 21 largest unnamed islands in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands after the 21 Param Vir Chakra awardees, acknowledging their bravery.
• Unveiling a model of the National Memorial dedicated to Netaji, slated to be constructed on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Dweep, showcasing the commitment to preserving his legacy.

• Organizers: The Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with prestigious institutions like the Archaeological Survey of India, the National School of Drama, Sahitya Akademi, and the National Archives of India, spearheads the event.
• Exploring Legacy: Parakram Diwas 2024 will delve into the profound legacy of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and the Azad Hind Fauj through various activities.
• Digital Launch – ‘Bharat Parv’: Prime Minister Modi will digitally inaugurate ‘Bharat Parv,’ organized by the Ministry of Tourism. The event will showcase Republic Day Tableaux and cultural exhibits, emphasizing India’s rich diversity.
• Red Fort Transformation: The iconic Red Fort will witness a transformation with a projection mapping show by artists from the National School of Drama, merging history and art seamlessly.
• Special Recognition for INA Veterans: The veterans of the Indian National Army (INA) will be specially recognized, acknowledging their pivotal role in India’s struggle for independence.
