World Youth Skills Day 15th July

World Youth Skills Day History

The United Nations was established on October 24, 1945, following the ratification of its Charter by China, France, the U.S.S.R., the United Kingdom, and the United States, among other signatories. The organization’s mission has always been to respect international law, provide humanitarian aid, promote world peace and security, and protect human rights. It was established to replace the League of Nations, which broke apart before the Second World War.

The United Nations has played a significant role in world politics throughout its history. With developments in international relations, such as the decolonization of the Global South, the end of the Cold War, the ascent of the United States as a hegemon, climate change, refugee crises, etc., it has changed how it operates. The United Nations is working to achieve its 17 sustainable development objectives today.

The United Nations declared World Youth Skills Day in 2014.
