The mutual joy of successful aspirants and the satisfaction of teachers in seeing their students taste success is something that was evident across the UPSC Toppers 2024 Felicitation Program hosted by StudyIQ. It was a heartwarming, powerful event celebrating the sheer grit, resilience, and success of India’s brightest minds. Held in a packed auditorium brimming with energy, hope, and admiration, this felicitation ceremony honoured the UPSC CSE 2023 toppers who made it to the final merit list declared in 2024.

This year, StudyIQ witnessed the remarkable journey of 164 selections—up from 110 last year—a truly testament to the dedication of aspirants and the relentless support of mentors.

The event began with a poetic line that set the tone for the day:

“दिल ना उम्मीद तो नहीं, नाकाम ही तो है; लंबी है ग़म की शाम, मगर शाम ही तो है।”

These powerful words echoed the journey of most civil service aspirants—grueling yet rewarding.

Anil Swarup, the soul of the event, delivered a thought-provoking speech. His words deeply moved the audience:

“भगवान कृष्ण, रवि शास्त्री और सर एलेक्स फर्ग्यूसन में क्या समानता है? सभी एक शानदार मेंटर हैं।”

He emphasized that mentors play a decisive role in every battleground—be it Kurukshetra or the UPSC arena. Some powerful takeaways from his address included:

• “आईना मलना बंद कर दीजिए, खुद को बेहतर कीजिए।”
• “खुदी को कर बुलंद इतना…” – urging aspirants to take charge of their destiny.
• Mentorship mission – Every topper is expected to mentor at least two aspirants as a way of giving back to the community.
• Announcement of a dedicated WhatsApp group for 2024 qualifiers to ensure continued mentorship and collaboration.

Swapnil Tripathi, Head of StudyIQ, took the stage to extend gratitude:

He highlighted the soul of StudyIQ:

Numbers That Inspire: The Journey from 77 to 164

StudyIQ has made a quantum leap from 77 selections in 2020 to 164 in 2024. These numbers are not just statistics but stories of transformation, sleepless nights, and unwavering focus.

The felicitation ceremony was not just about celebrating toppers; it was about celebrating resilience, hope, and community. The auditorium was filled with stories of aspirants who came from small towns, humble backgrounds, and overcame enormous odds.

Inspirational Stories of Success

Although all students have their unique stories of struggle. Some of the highlights that we need to recall was the efforts of Divyanshi Pandey who was a student of the Mains Residential Program and cracked the UPSC exam with All India Rank of 571. Divyanshi expressed her gratefulness for the entire StudyIQ family for the dedication and commitment towards student success.

Pranav Sharma, All India Rank 107, how he managed to crack the civil services while being a professionally working as a an engineer with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL). The shared how he would study while commuting in metro and during lunch hours. His struggle is something which would inspire all working professionals to prepare for the civil services.
