The SSC CGL Exam Pattern for Tier 1 has four sections: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension.

SSC CGL Syllabus for Tier 1

SSC CGL Tier 1 is the preliminary stage which consists of four sections. Each section contains 25 questions, making a total of 100 questions. The exam duration is 60 minutes (80 minutes for candidates eligible for scribe). Each question carries 2 marks, and there is a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer. This Tier is qualifying only. Marks obtained in Tier-I are not added to the final merit list.

After the CGL Tier 1 examination is over, you will need to start preparing for the Tier-2 Exam after checking the Answer key. The Mains Exam will be held online multiple-choice questions, except for the Data Entry Speed Test in Module II of Section III of Paper-I. SSC CGL Syllabus 2024 for Tier 2

The SSC CGL Tier-II exam has three sections, each with two parts:

  1. Section 1: Includes Module-I on Mathematical Abilities and Module-II on Reasoning and General Intelligence.
