Awaiting RPSC RAS Mains Result and Cut-off
- The first step after this is the announcement of the RPSC RAS Mains Result 2025. The RPSC will evaluate the descriptive answer sheets, which will take a few months normally.
- When the result is declared, along with it, the Mains cut-off marks will be announced. Candidates who obtain more than these cut-off marks will be shortlisted for the final process.
RPSC RAS Personality Test / Interview
- This is the final process of the RPSC RAS selection and is worth 100 marks.
- Those who pass the Mains exam shall be invited to sit for the Personality Test.
- Objective of the Interview: While the written examinations are meant to check only knowledge, the interview evaluates a candidate’s:
- Personality: Confidence, attitude, honesty, ethical sense.
- Communication skills: Clarity in expression, articulation, and the capacity to express thoughts clearly.
- General awareness: Awareness of current affairs, national and international matters, and more so, Rajasthan-specific information (history, culture, geography, governance, schemes, socio-economic issues).
- Problem-solving and leadership skills: How they manage possible administrative scenarios and their potential as an administrator.
- Mental readiness and fit for administrative positions.
Final Merit List and Selection
- The last merit list for the RPSC RAS examination is compiled by adding the marks scored in the Mains Examination (total of 800 marks) and the Personality Test/Interview (total of 100 marks), giving a total of 900 marks.
- Applicants are then ranked according to their cumulative score.
- The last choice is made on the basis of these merit ranks and the number of vacancies for the different State Services and Subordinate Services positions.
- Shortlisted candidates will subsequently go through document verification and medical checkup before they are issued their final appointment letters.
