Inclusive India Summit 2025 was organised on May 15, 2025, in New Delhi to mark Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD). Hosted by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD) of the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, the summit was organised with the aim of ushering in inclusive development and sensitising people about digital accessibility for persons with disabilities.

The Inclusive India Summit 2025, hosted by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), is a major national event being held today, Thursday, May 15, 2025, coinciding with Global Accessibility Awareness Day.
Conducted in a hybrid mode at the India International Centre in New Delhi, the summit is designed to facilitate inclusive development and improve digital accessibility for individuals with disabilities throughout the country. It promotes partnership among the government, industry, academia, civil society organisations, and the Divyang community for equal opportunities and an accessible environment.

Key Highlights of Inclusive India Summit 2025
- Hybrid Format: Both physical and virtual modes of operation were maintained to facilitate increased participation.
- Participating Organizations: The forum was organised in collaboration with the SBI Foundation and the National Association for the Blind, New Delhi. Supporting partners were also the Association of People with Disability and Mission Accessibility (Dhananjay Sanjogta Foundation).
- Inauguration: Rajesh Aggarwal, Secretary DEPwD, inaugurated the summit, highlighting the government’s initiative towards making sign language accessible and encouraging the private sector to make a disability-friendly environment.
- AI-Enabled Chatbot Launch: An AI-powered chatbot was launched to help individuals with disabilities avail multiple government schemes and increase digital inclusion.
