  • Food: Oily fish (salmon, sardines, herring), red meat, egg yolks, mushrooms (especially those exposed to UV light), fortified plant-based milk etc.

Vitamin D deficiency can lead to

  • Rickets in children & Osteomalacia in adults.
  • Bone pain and increased risk of fractures.
  • Muscle weakness and pain.
