UPSC CSE Interview 2025: Key Instructions for Candidates

The Union Public Service Commission has issued important guidelines for all candidates appearing for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) Personality Test 2025. Every candidate must strictly follow these instructions on the day of the interview to ensure a smooth and hassle-free process.

1. Download and Carry the E-Summon Letter

• Candidates must download their E-Summon Letter from the UPSC website.

• A printed copy of the summon letter is mandatory for entry into the UPSC premises.

• No candidate will be allowed to appear for the interview without it.

2. Reporting Time and Session Rules

UPSC conducts interviews in two sessions every day:

• Forenoon Session: Report by 09:00 AM

• Afternoon Session: Report by 01:00 PM

Candidates must reach the venue well in advance to complete verification formalities.

3. No Request for Change of Interview Date

• UPSC clearly states that requests for change in allotted date or session will NOT be entertained under any circumstances.

• Candidates must appear strictly on the date and time assigned to them.

4. Travel Allowance (TA) Eligibility

• Candidates attending the interview are entitled to Travel Allowance (TA).

• TA is reimbursed for Second/Sleeper Class (Mail/Express) train fare only.

8. COVID-19 & Health Advisory (If Applicable)

• Candidates feeling unwell must follow the health guidelines issued by UPSC or the Government of India.

• Medical assistance is available at the venue if needed.

• Biometric verification and document checking will be done before the Personality Test.

10. Conduct Inside UPSC Premises
