| Confluence | A major left-bank tributary of the Krishna River; it joins the Krishna at Wazirabad in Nalgonda district. |
| Dams/Reservoirs | Osman Sagar (1920) and Himayat Sagar (1927). These were built following the Great Musi Flood of 1908 to regulate flow and provide drinking water. |
| Heritage significance | In 2025, the World Monuments Fund included historic buildings along the Musi (Telangana High Court, Osmania General Hospital, State Central Library) in its “Watch List,” highlighting their global heritage value at risk from pollution. |
