India’s Diesel Supply to Bangladesh

• Recent Shipment: India recently supplied 5,000 metric tonnes of diesel through the pipeline to help Bangladesh address its immediate fuel shortage.
• Commercial Energy Trade: Bangladesh has been purchasing diesel from Numaligarh Refinery since 2015 on a commercial basis, and the pipeline has strengthened this long-standing energy partnership.
• Possibility of Additional Supplies: Bangladesh has requested additional petroleum supplies. However, Indian officials have stated that any further shipments will depend on:
