Chandra Shekhar Singh (1 July 1927 – 8 July 2007) was the eighth Prime Minister of India. Chandra Shekhar Singh was born on 1 July 1927 to a farming family in Ibrahimpatti, a village in the Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh. He was awarded a Master of Arts degree at Allahabad University.
Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia (born 1 July 1938) is an Indian classical instrumentalist. He is a player of the bansuri, the Indian bamboo flute. Hariprasad Chaurasia was born in Allahabad in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. His father was a wrestler.

Akhilesh Yadav (born 1 July 1973) is an Indian politician and as of March 2012 is the youngest person to hold the office of Chief Minister of the state of Uttar Pradesh. Ahmed Hoosen Deedat (July 1918 – 8 August 2005) was a South African writer and public speaker of Indian descent.
