Naveen Patnaik (72) was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Odisha for record fifth time. He was administered oath of office and secrecy by Governor Ganeshi Lal at function held in Bhubaneswar. Besides, him his team of ministers were also administered oath by Governor.
Naveen Patnaik’s Biju Janata Dal had emerged victorious in recently concluded 2019 Odisha Legislative Assembly election which were held simultaneously along with 2019 Lok Sabha elections. BJD has won 112 seats of the total 147 seats followed by Bhartiya Janta Party (12 seats) and Congress (9 seats).
