President Donal Trump awards Presidential Medal of Freedom (highest US civilian honour) to golfer Tiger Woods (43).
With this, he became the fourth and youngest golfer to receive this prestigious award.
US President Trump had announced in April 2019 that he would honour the star golfer with the medal, a day after Woods had won his fifth Masters title after gap 11-year major title since overcoming personal and professional setbacks, including a highly-public divorce and multiple surgeries
Gas-rich Qatar has allocated US $480 million in aid to cash-strapped Palestinian Authority to support education and health services and provide urgent humanitarian relief.
It has allocated US $300 million in form of grants and loans to support health and education sectors' budgets with Palestinian Authority.
It has allocated another US $180 million in urgent relief and humanitarian aid and in support of UN programmes in Palestine. This aid will also go to the power sector to ensure supplies are not interrupted.
The authority led by president Mahmud Abbas has been hit by the cutting of two of its leading sources of revenues viz. bilateral US aid and Israel’s decision to halt transfers of customs duties it levies on goods destined for Palestinian markets.
