World Day for Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse

The 18th of November has been designated as the World Day for the Prevention of and Healing from Child Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Violence.

Objective of the Day

This day aims to raise awareness of the tragic incident of child sexual abuse on a worldwide scale in the belief that governments would take action to combat it.

Status of Children

The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that every year, millions of children are sexually abused.

Resolution of the Day

The resolution invites all member states, relevant organisations of the United Nations and other international organisations, world leaders, faith actors, and civil society to commemorate this World Day each year to aware people of these incidents.
