The month-long Kashi Tamil Sangamam in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, was successfully unveiled by the Prime Minister of India.

Purpose

In order to sustain the spirit of Ek Bharat Sreshtha Bharat, the Government of India launched this programme as a part of "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav."

The Kashi Tamil Sangamam commemorates a variety of aspects of the historical and cultural ties that bind North and South India.
