About Saharsh Initiative

• Under Saharsh, children won’t be pressured to study, rather they would be encouraged for social and emotional learning.
• Its initiatives are aimed at empowering children to learn with happiness.
• The ‘Saharsh’ was launched last year in 40 schools of the state on a pilot basis and will be extended to all government and aided schools of the state this year.
• Other measures under the initiative include:
  • Training schools for the curriculum.
  • Assistant headmasters from different districts of Tripura have been selected to work as Saharsh implementation ambassadors.
  • Special ‘Saharsh’ teacher guideline handbook has been launched and the entire module has been made available on the State Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT) website.
