Kerala’s Kumbalanghi is set to become the country’s first sanitary napkin-free panchayat.
केरल का कुंभलंगी देश की पहली सैनिटरी नैपकिन मुक्त पंचायत बनने के लिए तैयार है।
As a substitute to Sanitary Napkins, use of Menstrual cups is being promoted.
सेनेटरी नैपकिन के स्थान पर मेंस्ट्रुअल कप के उपयोग को बढ़ावा दिया जा रहा है।

The initiative is being implemented as part of the ‘Avalkayi’ (for her) scheme in the Ernakulam parliamentary constituency.

Under the initiative, a total of 5000 menstrual cups will be distributed to women aged 18 and above.
