Government Issued Myth vs Facts Document on “Agnipath”

Amid violent protests in several states and bitter criticism over the Agnipath scheme, the government has unofficially released a “Myths vs Facts” document.
कई राज्यों में हिंसक विरोध और अग्निपथ योजना की तीखी आलोचना के बीच, सरकार ने अनौपचारिक रूप से “मिथ्स बनाम फैक्ट्स” दस्तावेज़ जारी किया है।
The document aims to address the most pressing concerns raised on the radical recruitment plan for the armed forces.

What is Agnipath?

अग्निपथ क्या है?

It is Government’s defence recruitment reform under which around 45,000 to 50,000 soldiers will be recruited annually, for the contract period of 4 years.
यह सरकार का रक्षा भर्ती सुधार है जिसके तहत 4 साल की अनुबंध अवधि के लिए सालाना लगभग 45,000 से 50,000 सैनिकों की भर्ती की जाएगी।
The recruitments will be made only on Non-Commissioned Ranks and after the 4 year tenure, 25% of the total recruits will be retained full time based on merit.
भर्तियां केवल गैर-कमीशन रैंक पर की जाएंगी और 4 साल के कार्यकाल के बाद, कुल भर्तियों में से 25% को योग्यता के आधार पर पूर्णकालिक रखा जाएगा।

Who can apply to this scheme?

Under this scheme both men and women between the ages of 17.5 and 21 will be brought into the armed forces.
इस योजना के तहत 17.5 से 21 वर्ष की आयु के पुरुषों और महिलाओं दोनों को सशस्त्र बलों में लाया जाएगा।
Since army recruitment rallies did not take place in last 2 years, government has given a one-time age relaxation raising maximum age limit to 23.
चूंकि पिछले 2 वर्षों में सेना भर्ती रैलियां नहीं हुई हैं, इसलिए सरकार ने अधिकतम आयु सीमा को बढ़ाकर 23 करने के लिए एकमुश्त आयु छूट दी है।
